It is with great sadness in our hearts that we share the news of the
passing of Anita Himes. In her capacity as the secretary of LANA and in
her work with other community associations and her many projects,
Anita brought a personal dynamism and creativity and an exceptional level of commitment that will be greatly missed by all.
A loving mother and grandmother, Anita gave all she had for her family
and extended her caring and love to the
people of the lower city of Hamilton and to each person disadvantaged by
circumstance or the vagaries of our society.
A community memorial service for Anita Himes will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 11th at The Pearl Company Art Centre at 16 Steven Street in Hamilton.
